A Brief History of SaddleRock Reverse Mortgage

I am sure that many of you already know who SaddleRock Reverse Mortgage is, but many may not. For those that know, there may be more to the story.

SaddleRock Reverse Mortgage began as Director’s Mortgage in 2001. In 2016, the business was renamed to SaddleRock Reverse Mortgage.

As the president and owner of SaddleRock Reverse Mortgage, Shannon has been in the reverse mortgage business since 2001. Previously she has worked for some of the largest reverse mortgage providers, in the nation, specifically Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Metlife.

In those roles, she managed teams of reverse mortgage loan officers. When Wells Fargo and Metlife exited the reverse mortgage business, she decided to focus on originating loans herself and get back to her roots of serving the senior community.

Upon leaving Metlife in 2012, Shannon worked for a mortgage company as their primary reverse mortgage originator. After a couple of years, the decision was made to open SaddleRock as a way to better serve her customers.

The three tenets of SaddleRock are as follows:

  1. Always do what is right for the customer.
  2. Educate to help the customer and family members make an informed decision.
  3. Be there for the customer even after the close of the loan. Many times customers or their family have questions, and those questions can come months or even years after the close. Those calls are just as important as new business calls.

Today SaddleRock enjoys serving customers anywhere in the State of California. If you or anyone you know has questions about a reverse mortgage, please give us a call.
